4 1. Edit the config.py file to your liking:

6  PORTNO   = Listening Port of the flow-collector

8  SPOOLDIR = Temporary spooldirectory of collected data before it is written

13  DATABASE = 'mysql' or 'postgresql', choose one.

22 2. Create a Database e.g. flowstorage:

26 3. Grant access to the user specified in config.py:

30 4. Create the DB schema:

34 5. Edit the initscripts and set the correct path in the $exec variable.

36 6. Copy the initscripts to your initrd-dir and add them to the system-startup if so desired.

38 7. Create the Spooldir, e.g. /var/spool/flowmon

40 7. Copy the flowmon-web directory to your webroot, make sure tmp/ is writable by your apache.

42 8. Edit config.inc.php to contain the correct database credentials.

44 9. Configure your router to export to the installed flow-collector

46 10. Edit crontab to run the cleanup.sh script at least once a day:
